The Maverick Robotics program offers students the ability to explore potential STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) related career opportunities. Students have the opportunity to explore the exciting field of robotics through three separate semester long elective courses. Students will learn 3D design, programming, as well as hardware design and assembly. Students may also choose to participate as a member of our Maverick Robotics Competition team. The main goal of our competition team is to provide students with hands-on experience in the process of designing, building, and testing of robots. As a member of the Maverick Robotics team, students will have the opportunity to compete against fellow students from across Florida, the nation, and globally at a variety of different engineering and robotics competitions. Team members meet on a daily basis to design, build, and test their robots as they prepare for monthly competitions.
