Archbishop McCarthy is a Catholic high school of the Archdiocese of Miami recognized as a Catholic Honor Roll School of Excellence and an Apple Distinguished School. The school has a tradition of academic excellence offered in a faith-filled environment. We strive to empower our students with the confidence to succeed while developing the gifts that God granted to each and achieving their highest potential through Christ-centered educational excellence. Students are accepted from both Catholic and non-Catholic homes, as long as both they and the parents understand and agree to abide by the philosophy and mission of the school.
Archbishop McCarthy is one of the first schools in South Florida to initiate a 1:1 iPad Program for all students and teachers, and are proud to be leading the way in incorporating technology in our curriculum. Innovative teaching and learning are part of every day as we help prepare the leaders of tomorrow. We continue to build an educational model that gives our students the skills and resources needed to excel in the future that awaits them.
As you browse through our website, you will get a sense of our beautiful, college-like campus, our rich academic and athletic programs, our extra-curricular offerings, and our great facilities. Our campus continues to change as we meet the needs of our students and always provide them with opportunities to grow. We are especially proud of our Chapel, fitness center, athletic locker rooms, baseball and football stadiums, and track; as well as our computer labs. Our iCatholicEd room must be visited to be fully appreciated with its glass walls and flexible learning environment. New additions this year are interactive displays in all classrooms and a Broadcasting Studio.
